The new fatigue data sheet, No. 133, discloses low- and high-cycle properties of A2017-T4 aluminium alloys. Two types low-cycle tests were conducted under strain-controlled conditions. One comprised incremental step to clarify cyclic stress-strain curves. other constant- strain amplitude the lives. alloys revealed strong hardening that resulted in very high cycle yield stresses. stresses higher than those titanium steels. Constant-strain showed plastic amplitudes be smaller most cases elastic amplitudes.
